Course Description:

First, an interactive lecture will describe equipment and provide tips on safe otoscopic examination. Participants will then move into the laboratory and use Karl Storz video otoscopes performing procedures on cadaver specimens. Standard otoscopes will also be available for practice and instruction. At the conclusion of the two-hour interactive laboratory, the practitioner will be able to successfully manage common ear disorders.

Jennifer Schissler, DVM, MS, DACVD

Dr. Jennifer Schissler DVM, MS, DACVD is Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Otology at Colorado State University. Schlisser is a 2005 graduate of Colorado State University's professional veterinary medical program, and completed a dermatology residency and Master's degree at The Ohio State University in 2009 and has been a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology since 2009. Schissler's professional interests include management of allergic dermatitis, otology, staphylococcal infections and education. Schissler has proudly trained five residents.

Pre-registration is required for all veterinary continuing education conferences. Courses are subject to cancellation when registration is inadequate to cover costs of the program. Registration at least six weeks before the course will help prevent cancellation.Course fee is payable to Colorado State University. Cancellations and Refunds

Registration fees are fully refundable until 60 days prior to the course, 50% refundable between 60 and 30 days prior to the course and non-refundable after 30 days prior to the course. Fees will be refunded 100% at any date if vacated spot can be filled.
